Our History

DIY Pallets Ltd. is an accomplished Pallet Company located just outside in Chatham, Ontario, servicing the needs of Ontario and Michigan.

We launched our company in 2017 with a mission of providing the absolute best service to each and every one of our customers. With an unwavering focus on creating the best possible individual plan for each customer, maximizing their savings by evaluating ALL of their pallet related expenses.

Back when DIY Pallets started in 2017, there were only 3 guys that picked up, fixed up, and sold recycled pallets. Soon after we started, we noticed there was a huge opportunity in the pallet market.

And that opportunity was the recycling side of the business!

If you do some research, you will find that very few Pallet Business will deal with recycled pallets. Virtually no one will pick up scrap pallets, and if you are looking to purchase recycled pallets, you are stuck with only 2 buying options, the recycled 48x40 and 48x45.

Furthermore, we couldn’t find a single Pallet Company that offered Combo Pallets (pallets that are build with both new and used HT lumber), nor could we find a company that would build custom sized pallets with all used/reclaimed material!

Seeing such a huge opportunity, DIY Pallet applied for and received our Heat Treat Certification in 2018, so we could really start helping businesses save money.

Since 2018 we have grown steadily. We went from having a single customer when we started to having over 75 different and happy customers today! We also went from having 3 guys slugging used pallets to having a 20 person workforce, specializing in every area of your pallet related needs.

For many (if not most) companies and businesses, pallets are an expensive headache. Purchasing brand new pallets is a costly endeavour (not to mention taxing on our environment), and in certain situations, the steady stream of unwanted incoming pallets results in a hefty monthly waste disposal bill.
